Title: Investigating the Challenges and Experiences of Managing Cardiovascular Diseases in Disasters: a systematic review

Introduction: Disasters due to the destruction of health care infrastructure or diffuculty in access to health center centers, drugs and physical and psychological stress challenge cardiovascular disease management. The aim of this study was to investigate hallenges of managing cardiovascular diseases and using these experiences in the management of cardiovascular diseases during natural disasters. Methods: this study is a systematic review. In this study after counting keywords; Search was done on medical databases such as Pub Med, Embase, ISI, magiran. Articles that studied cardiovascular disease in a variety of disasters were included. Then the quality of the extracted articles was reviewed and finally the information related to cardiovascular diseases and the management of these diseases and the existing challenges were extracted from the articles.
Results: ۴۴۲۶٫ articles found, ۳۹٫ related articles were finally entered into a qualitative control. The findings of these articles showed that the most important challenges in managing cardiovascular disease are the presence of physical and psychological stress due to the damage done to the victim, such as the loss of property or relatives. Another important factor is the existence of damage to health infrastructure and disruption in the provision of health services and lack of access to drug.
Conclusion: By providing rapid access to appropriate diagnosis and treatment, drug availability, along with appropriate pharmacological and non-pharmacological measures in stress management, cardiovascular diseases, especially hypertension, can be better managed and controlled.
