The Effect of the Slow-Stroke back Massage on Fatigue of Dialyzes Patients in Ardabil Bu Ali Hospital.
Abstract
Abstract: Purpose: In hemodialyzed patients, fatigue has more prevalence due to the physiological stressors rather than other physical factors. This study was done to study the effect of the Slow –Stroke back massage on fatigue of dialyzed patients.
Methods: This clinical trial was done in Ardabil city Bu Ali Hospital, 60 hemodialyzed patients were selected randomly and simply and then simple random method were divided into two groups as the experimental and control. The experimental group cases followed by massage a month, three times a week, on dialysis, for 10 minutes. But the control group did not receive any intervention during this period. The data collection instrument was piper Fatigue questionnaire. During three periods (days starting 15th and thirtieth) was completed by both groups, finally, the results were analyzed in SPSS 13 software. Repeated Measures ANOVA and samples T test were used to analyze data and to see the results of statistical descriptive analysis of variance.
Results: the results showed that there is significant difference between different groups in the starting and ending of study. (p=0.003) and there was not observed significant differences the startup time of 15 days to 15 days of the end of the study. The analysis of variance showed that among the groups at the end of the study there was a significant difference (PV<0.05).
Conclusion: This study showed that massage therapy for 30 days results in a reduction in fatigue and to feel comfort by patients.
