The second generation oral contraceptive had resulted in a significant decrease of positive mood and increase of negative mood in the second month and the fourth month, but the third generation had led to an increase of positive mood and a decrease of negative mood. The second generation had resulted in a decrease in sexual function in the second month and an increase in sexual function in the fourth month, but the third generation led to an increase in sexual function in the second and fourth months. The increase in sexual function resulted from using the third generation was significantly higher than the second generation. An intra –group comparison showed significant difference of the exact of positive and negative mood and sexual function between the two groups in the three periods of time.
