Objective: The present study was performed to determine the relationship between work-life balance with life satisfaction and workload in emergency department nurse
Materials and Methods: The present study is a descriptive-correlational study. The sample consisted of 205 nurses working in the emergency departments of hospitals in Tabriz in 1397-1397 who were selected by stratified sampling method (quota). Instruments including Jeremy Hayman's Work-Life Balance Questionnaire, SWLS Life Satisfaction Scale, and NASA TLX Workload Questionnaire were used, all of which had good reliability and validity. In order to analyze the data, descriptive and Pearson tests were performed using Spss 23 software.
Results: The results showed that there was no significant difference between work-life balance, life satisfaction and workload by gender (p> 0.05). Also, there was no significant difference between the groups compared to the mean of the hospital of employment (p> 0.05). There was no significant relationship between workload variable with any of the variables (p> 0.05).
Conclusion: Considering the increase in nurses' workload as well as the decrease in life satisfaction and work-life balance, it is necessary for health system managers to pay more attention to these categories in order to increase the performance of human resources.
