Sexual Experience in Pregnant Women refers to Health Centers of Tabriz in Medical University, 2005.
Abstract
Abstract: Introduction: Pregnancy is one of the sensitive period of women's life and sexual relation and coitus would change because of physical and psychological changes in pregnancy period.
Material and Method: This was an analytic and descriptive study. We studied society 350 women referring to health centers of Tabriz. Sample volume was chosen 350 couples. Sampling way was stratified. Tools which are used for women and their couples were ASEX questionnaire which they were filled by interview method. All data were analyzed by SPSS11. Descriptive information were used for describing the frequencies and also the x2 test was used for determining relation between variables.
Results: By comparing with the pre –pregnancy, frequency of coitus, sexual desire, sexual satisfaction and frequency of orgasm were decreased. Sexual problem in sexual desire, vaginal wetness, arousal, orgasm and satisfaction from orgasm in the second trimester were less than the other trimester. However by comparing with pre –pregnancy period number of coitus in most part of research cases have been reduced sexual satisfaction and sexual desire and also frequency of orgasm didn't have any change in men. There is significant differences between sexual problem and wages in subjects in the first trimester of pregnancy (p=0.03). There is significant differences between sexual problem and wages and graduation in the second trimester of pregnancy (p=0.049), (p=0.017).
Conclusion: Women with different socio -demographic had different sexual experiences. In research's opinion, believes and ideas on sexual activities in pregnancy period, had affected sexual experiences. Regarding to this subject sexual counseling has get are important role in reducing such problem.
