Abstract
The aim of this study is to investigation the rate and prevalence of positive pathology findings in pediatric brain CT-SCAN, performed in Tabriz Pediatric Medical Center during the first quarter of 1397 and compared its results with patient history and clinical findings.
Materials and Methods: This study was a diagnostic and cross-sectional study and the target population included all children under 15 years old who referred to the radiology and CT scan of Tabriz Children's Educational and Medical Center and were requested to have a CT scan. The sample size was census of all available files in the first quarter of 2018. In the study of patients' files, indicators such as age, sex, patient history and clinical findings were examined. In the next stage, CT scan of patients and its positive findings were evaluated.

The most common complaints in this study were convulsive movements with 47 cases (43.5%), dyspnea and respiratory distress with 23 cases (21.3%) and vomiting with 10 cases (9.3%). Also, the most clinical findings in these subjects were normal in 66 cases (61.1%), fever in 22 cases (20.4%) and loss of consciousness in 5 cases (4.6%), respectively. Finally, the most CT scan results in these subjects were normal in 74 cases (68.5%), hydrocephalus in 15 cases (13.9%) and benign infantile hydrocephalus in 8 cases (7.4%), respectively. In the subjects, there was a statistically significant relationship between the patient history with CT scan results (P-value = 0.017) and also a statistically significant relationship was observed between clinical findings with CT scan results (P-value = 0.042).
