Evaluation of diagnostic value of small non-coding RNA-217 in membranous nephropathy patients
Abstract
Aim of this study was evaluation of microRNA-217 in plasma and Peripheral blood mononuclear cell (PBMC) samples of MN patients as non-invasive diagnosis manner.
Materials & methods. MicroRNA-217 expression level was evaluated in collected blood samples from 30 patients with MN and 30 patients with Focal segmental glomerulonephritis (FSGS) in compared to 24 healthy individuals as control group via real-time PCR method. The obtained results were analyzed with SPSS software.
Results. Our study’s outcome showed that plasma levels of microRNA-217 significantly decreased in NS (P= 0.026) and MN (P= 0.035) patients when compared to control group and observed alterations were not reported meaningful in PBMC sample.
