Problems of Clinical Education in View of Instructors and Nursing Students in Faculty of Nursing & Midwifery, in Tabriz University of Medical Sciences & Health service 2004.

Abstract
Abstract: Introduction: Nursing education is a base for supplying effective manpower, the fulfill those health needs of the society. One of the most important components of nursing education is clinical education. Clinical training is a kind of education in which students, by instructor and environment, apply their learnt concepts in practical domains. Approximately 50% of the time of nursing education just, is specialized to clinical education, so, education careers are supposed to have important roles in forming professional identity in which they are considered as the center of professional education. By according to the result of investigation, there are problems in clinical education in which identifying key problems is necessary due to professional common interactions, is necessary decisions for keeping clinical education's ordinance. Material and Methods: This survey is a descriptive study in which, problems of clinical education in view of instructors and nursing students about service and equipment clinical education environment, instructor, nursing student, education planning and professional has been assessed. The data were collected by a self-administered questionnaire including two sections: first section is about demographic characteristics and second section included 96 item related to aims of research. A six point Likert scale was used to determine the rate of response to each item. Target population consisted of 107 nursing junior students and 50 nursing instructors. Data analysis was done using descriptive statistic (frequency, percent, mean, STD -error) by the aid of the SPSS11. Results: All findings from this investigation showed that from students and instructors point of view, the mean scores of some factors referring to service and equipment (71/55,79/60), clinical education environment (67/97, 73/29), instructors (61/46, 56/01), nursing student (53/48, 64/52), educational planning (71/11,66) and professional (82/94, 79/60) are effective in making problems with clinical education. The total mean score referring to the problems of clinical education is (65/70, 66/94) by according to students and instructor's point of view. Conclusion: By according to this subject that from the view of students who were being investigated factors such as: professional, service and equipment, educational planning, environment of clinical education, instructors and students and also from the view of instructors factors such as professional, environment f clinical education, equipment, educational planning, students and instructors have made some problems in clinical educational problems. Thus more attention to these problem and solving such problems seems to be essential for moderating educational development in nursing education.
