Abstract
The high incidence of esophageal cancer and low survival after surgery, as well as the effect of leak anastomosis on surgical failure and the role of this factor in failure of esophagectomy treatment were unclear. Let's do it in recognition. Methods: This descriptive cross-sectional study was performed in Tabriz during 1977 with the participation of 120 patients (sample size similar to other studies) who were selected by available sampling method. Laboratory data including CRP before and after surgery (three days after surgery) were compared in all patients. Data were analyzed by Mann-Whitney U and Chi-square tests in SPSS 20 at the significant level of 0.05. Results: 26 patients (21.66%) had anastomosis after surgery. Changes in CRP levels in all patients (untreated and untreated neonates) had both leaky and non-leak after surgery without significant statistical changes.
