The Evaluation of Internship Program of the Bachelor Degree through Obtaining the Lectures and Nursing Student's Viewpoints at Nursing and Midwifery Faculty of Tabriz Medical Sciences University.

Abstract
Abstract: Introduction: Mission of the universities of medical sciences put a lots of profession into enabling the graduates in accepting the serious and future role. The nursing play an important role in the health systems human resources, and has a very important role in promoting the health of the people in the society. Therefore training of the nurses, must be done in a way that they can practice their ability, skill and Excellency in actual work environments effectively. Some of the internship program specialist in this area believe that clinical educational planning is to competent nurses and has a fundamental value in nursing education. Findings of similar studies indicate that recent graduates are not competent enough in clinical area and have difficulties in doing their duties. Receiving feedback and evaluation is an effective way for identifying the difficult and pitfalls of the curriculum. In many countries, evaluation of curriculum programs do not accrued frequently, whereas evaluation can prevent the deviation of educational programs from their mission and help to develop quality of programs. In our country, Internship period has an important role in improving the quality of skills. Due to the lack and enough documents regards to the quality of internship programs at nursing and midwifery faculty of Tabriz medical sciences university, The researcher decided to evaluate the present situation of the clinical educational programs in internship period, so that essential needs and intervention points can be identified for improving the quality of clinical educational programs in nursing. Material & Methods: This descriptive study was conducted to determine and compare viewpoints of lectures and nursing students about the rate of the training of contents of clinical educational courses in internship period including: customer services, patient care, safety of patient, administration skills, quality improving of cares and patient education. The data were collected by using a questionnaire including 6 sections. A 5 point Likert scale was used to determine the rate of content transfer of the programs. The results of this research have been presented by using descriptive and analytical statistics, also by Mann- Whitney test. The sample size was as population and consisted of 107 peoples (33 nurse lectures, 74 nursing students). Results: The findings of this study indicate that both the lectures and students believe that, content transfer of clinical skills in internship period including: Customer services, patient care, safety of patient, administration skills, quality improving of cares and patient education skills, were transferred on an average level. The difference among the viewpoints of the lectures and students in 66.5 percent of the cases had statistically meaningful correlation Discussion: The findings of this study indicate that lectures and students believe that training of the content of clinical skills in internship period was average. Therefore the educational authorities must try to raise the quality of clinical educational programs in internship period toward an acceptable and appropriate level, then the patients can receive qualified services and cares of high quality. Further analyses the results, suggests that intervention in the clinical educational programs in internship period is essential for improving the quality of cares.
