Evaluation of educational problems of students (talented versus non-talented) during their studying at Tabriz University of Medical Sciences
Abstract
Background: Paying attention to the problems of talented students is very important because ignoring the problems of education, research and other psychological problems may cause anxiety and depression and on the other hand lead to a decline in academic performance of students. Therefore, the present study is designed to investigate the educational problems of talented students and other students during their studying at Tabriz University of Medical Sciences.
Methods: This is a cross sectional-analytic study that was carried out on Talented students and others. Data was collected through questionnaire including demographic characteristics of students, educational problems and solutions mentioned by students participated in this study. Finally, data was analyzed by SPSS software
Results: The results of the study showed that there is a significant difference between the mean scores assigned to some educational, research, psychological, individual-family problems and future job problems from the perspective of talented students and other students (P <0.05 ).
Conclusion: In general, the results of the study confirm the talented students had significant problems in the fields of education, research, individual-family, psychological and professional future, and in many of these fields, they had different views from other students.
