Relationship between Mother’s Knowledge about Parasitic Infection of Ascaris and Oxyur with Causes of referring to Health and Medical Centers, Ardabil, 1995.
Abstract
Abstract: This research is a correlation study which has been performed in order to investigate relation between mother’s knowledge about parasitic infections of Ascaris and Oxyur and referring reasons. It consists of one goal and 3 special objectives which are about knowledge, referring reasons and relating between knowledge and relating between knowledge and referring reasons. In this research 266 mothers that their children have parasitic infection were chosen. The sampling method were purposive sampling. The data were collected through questionnaires. The questionnaire was made in 3 parts: 1) Demographics 2) The knowledge of parasitic infections of ascaris and oxyuri 3) referring reason. In order to achieve the research objectives descriptive and inferential statistic have been used. Results, have been presented on 32 tables and 17 charts. The findings of this study showed that did not reveal significant correlation between knowledge and referring reason. In addition the results showed that the most of mothers were housewife and have no education and most of them acquired their knowledge from health persons. At the end researcher has presented recommendations on the basis of this research findings for application of findings and future research in nursing education and other health therapeutic fields.
