Investigate of the Stressors and Coping Strategies of Infertile Women admitting to Alzahra Teaching Hospital, Tabriz, 1997.
Abstract
Abstract: Introduction: This research is a descriptive study which has been carried out to investigate the stressors and coping strategies of infertile women who were admitted to Alzahra education and treatment center in Tabriz 1376. It consists of a general goal and three special goals.
Methods: In this research 150 infertile women have been chosen on the base of convenience sampling data were collected by structured interview using a questionnaire including 3 main parts. The first part was related to demographic and medical information. The second part was about physical and psychosocial stressors and the third part about coping strategies of infertile women. For achieving the goals of the research descriptive and inferential statistics was used.
Results: The results is shown in 32 Tables. Based on results of this study fatigue of frequent trips to the clinic was the most physical stressor in 67.3% cases at high and very high level. The stress level of physical stressors was medium in 66.71% cases. From the psychosocial stressors worry about achievement of treatment was the most stressor at high and very high level in 87.3% cases. The stress level of psychosocial stressors was high in 52.7% of cases. From the coping strategies, pray and trust in God was the always – used coping strategy in 79.3% of infertile women. In examining the use of affection- oriented coping strategy, pray and trust in God have been used “always” by 79.3% cases. From the problem –oriented coping strategies accept the situation was used “always” in 74% of infertile women. The researcher has presented some suggestions according to the results of research for application and for performance next studies.
