Abstract
Abstract: Objective: Determination of the knowledge of therapeutic regime in patients with coronary artery disease readmitted to Shahid Madani hospital in Tabriz, 1997. Design: This research is a descriptive study. The method of data gathering using structured interview including 51 question. Setting: The field of this study was heart center of Tabriz medical SC University. Sample: The sample consisted of 130 patients who were readmitted with a diagnosis of angina or myocardial Infarction. Results: The results of this research have been represented by using descriptive and analytical statistics, also by calculation standard deviation and mean, in 51 tables. It showed knowledge from: 1) Medication regime: Moderate (53.85%). 2) Diet: Equally good and Moderate (43.85%). 3) Activity: Moderate (60.77%). In additionally the findings of this study showed that the patients interviewed had relatively little knowledge or information regarding their therapeutic regime. Conclusion: Current research showed approximately one thirst (31.54%) of patients with CAD have good knowledge about their therapeutic regime. For this reason this patients require intensive educational programmers. So the nurses must evaluate information needs of patients and the each adequate self –care technics for control of complication, recognition clinical manifestation of disease and prevent of recurrence.
