Abstract
In our center, we have been using the Two Flap Palatoplasty & Intravelar Veloplasty technique, and we concluded that the soft palate lengthening in the 10-month-old infants who undergo palate surgery, at the end of the surgery was compared with the length of the palate at the start of the procedure in two methods of Two Flap Palatolasty & Intravelar Veloplasty and the IntravelarVeloplasty + Two Flap integration method and Compare double-sided Zplasty in two layers of Ural and Nasal, and measure the short-term complications of the two methods. Materials and Methods: This clinical trial was performed in year 2016. In this study, 62 patients were divided into two groups of 31 patients. Patients in both groups received satisfaction according to the informed consent form that was given to the parents of the patients before the surgery and the completion of the questionnaire was completed by an obstetric obstetric assistant (performer). The method of two flap palatoplasty intravelar veloplasty with Two flap palatoplasty intravelar veloplasty + Double Z plasty was compared in terms of soft palate length from hard and soft joints to jaw which was measured during operation and also for short-term complications of the operation. Finally, all the data entered the SPSS v18 statistical analysis program and we analyzed the data. Results: This study was performed on 62 children with cleft lip and cleft palate. Results showed that palmar length in infants exposed to two flap + zplasty surgery was significantly higher than those who underwent surgery under the Two Technique flap. In other words, the addition of Z plasty method could significantly increase the length of the palate.
