Abstract
Abstract: Objective: Comparison self-care ability of stroke patients hospitalized Shahid Madani Hospital of Khoy in admission and discharge distage in 1376. Design: This research is a descriptive study. The method of data gathering using structured interview including 30 question and 2 section 1: individual and social particulars 2: questions related to the self-care activities about eating, personal health, motor, transportation and communication. Setting: The field of this study is Shahid Madani Hospital of Khoy. Participants: 100 patients suffering from stroke with Hemiplegia Diagnosis. Results: Results of this study, mostly using descriptive statistic were brought in 33 tables. According to the findings, the population is mostly female, married, uneducated, age 65-79 and Length stay lower 10 days. 24% of them had Hypertension and smoking, 64% without aphasia and 21% had expression aphasia 43% of study population had motor Disorders and 32% had sensory disability. The results of study indicate that in admission mostly had semi dependency in activity of eating, personal health and motor & transportation that in discharge reached complete independency. According to findings self-care of patients in communication at discharge had increased. Conclusion: Referring the nurse’s role as the most important member of health and therapeutic team, and also considering the effects application of nursing process in promotion of health and decrease disability of stoke patients through help to increase self-care of them in ADL, the findings of this survey can give beneficial information for nurses and directors in order to planning daily physiotherapy in internal neurology wards of Hospitals.
