Evaluation of Knowledge of RH Negative Pregnant Women from RH Incompatibility in Tabriz Health Centers, 2000.
Abstract
Abstract: Introduction: According to statistics in 1376 mortality rate fewer than one year old children is about 10251 in Iran which 63 percent of them have occurred in 28 first days of life. One of the most important causes of mortality rates in the first four weeks is blood incompatibility.
Without Treatment 25-30 percent of springs will have different degrees of Anemia and hyperbilirubinemia and another 20-25 percent will be hydronic and often will die either in utero or in the neonatal period. So it is clear, if there is not a routine prophylaxes program, there will be awful results regarding such diseases. To reach the health goals it must be known that awareness of prevention methods is made people to use these methods. We hope this survey can clear the position of woman’s knowledge of RH incompatibility introducing different useful programs to teach these methods.
Material & Methods: This survey is a descriptive study, which carried on in order to evaluate of knowledge of Rh-negative pregnant women from RH incompatibility. Collected data had provided through completed questionnaires. 138 RH negative pregnant women were chosen among all those women who were referring to health centers (12 centers of Khayreyeh, Hojaty, Pasture centers). For their pregnancy controlling. Mean standard deviation, Gama test, Qui square test were used for data analysis.
Results: The results of survey shows that most of RH negative women had moderate knowledge and least of them had high knowledge of RH incompatibility. So educational programs are necessary to increase RH negative woman’s knowledge.
