Evalation the amount of use the teachers of Tabriz Dental Factulty from modern and active teaching methods.
Abstract
Introduction: nowdays, in the new educational system, the use of active and new teaching methods has created new opportunities in the field of planning and implementation of education. In modern educational systems, an attempt is made to make the teaching-learning process more efficient by using modern teaching methods and using various media.
Aim: In this study, the main goal is to determine the level of knowledge assessment of professors of Tabriz School of Dentistry from new and active teaching methods with at least 5 years of teaching experience.
Method: In this descriptive-cross-sectional study, the target population is all professors working in Tabriz School of Dentistry with at least 5 years of teaching experience. The questionnaire, consisting of 22 questions, was identified as a data collection tool after determining validity and reliability. Each question classifies professors' knowledge of new teaching methods at 5 levels.
Resaults: A total of 52 questionnaires were filled in by the teachers of the School of Dentistry. According to the statements and answers of the faculty members, it is observed that the general trend of awareness of new teaching methods has been positive during five years and teachers have become more interested in new teaching methods. According to the statistical analysis of the T-pair test and the analysis analysis table of variance (ANOVA), it was observed that there was no significant relationship between rank, gender, teaching history and age of professors and the level of knowledge of the new teaching method.
Conclusion: The scientific rank of professors, age, gender and their teaching background were not observed in the level of awareness of new teaching methods, which indicates the efforts of professors to use new teaching methods.
