Abstract

Most dentists when dealing with a pediatric patient have a mentality that they will face an anxious and uncooperative person so there is a reluctancy between dentists in providing dental service to children, but with due attention to necessity for child dental treatment and with knowledge to pharmacological and non-pharmacological behavioral control methods, a way should be found in order to reduce children's anxiety and fear to be able to provide high quality services.
In recent years the possibility of using general anesthesia and sedation revolutionized pediatric dental treatment and made the impossible, possible by restoring the severely damaged dental structures of children under three that suffered early childhood caries due to frequent consumption of milk at night therefore their oral function, beauty and health was restored.
