Evaluation of Knowledge and Satisfaction of Patients Admitted to Educational Pharmacies of Tabriz University of Medical Sciences from Iranian Pharmaceutical Package Inserts in 2017-2018

Abstract
Patient Pakage Insert are good sources of information for medicines and they have been verified by a reliable and robust drug information center. The availability of accurate and reliable drug information is essential for safe and effective drug use. Since drug brochures provide important and basic information about the drug, they are very important. In fact, giving the patient the right information can increase the success of treatment. Objective: The purpose of the present study was to determine the level of knowledge and satisfaction of patients referring to educational pharmacies of 2017-2018 Tabriz University of medical science. Materials and methods: This is a cross-sectional descriptive-analytical study, which was studied at Tabriz University of medical science in 2017-2018. The target group of this thesis was 200 patients referred to educational pharmacies of Tabriz University of medical science. The questionnaire was designed as a five-point Likert questionnaire to determine the knowledge and satisfaction of Iranian Patient Pakage Insert and in order to get final approval, Cronbach's alpha was evaluated by SPSS software. Results: Cronbach's alpha test for satisfaction and knowledge level were 0.721 and 0.81, respectively and the results indicate that the reliability of the questionnaire was satisfactory. Also, 58% of the participants in the study read the drug brochures and the highest satisfaction was related to the warnings of pregnancy and lactation, followed by the warnings of children. Conclusion: Based on the results, the level of patients' knowledge of the drug brochures was moderate and their satisfaction was also moderate.
