Study of Health and Welfare Status of Tourist Centers in East Azarbaijan Province

Abstract
Introduction: Since the rapid growth of the tourism industry, proper
management and supervision of tourism centers, and especially medical tourism,
is necessary due to the improvement of the health status of the health centers.
Therefore, this study aimed to investigate the health and welfare situation of
tourism centers in East Azarbaijan province.
Methods: This cross-sectional survey was executed in 1397 in tourist centers of
East Azarbaijan Province. The research society were foreign visitors who came
to these centers. A questionnaire was used to gather data and analyze data using
SPSS-23 software.
Results: The results show that the quality of Kabood mosque center was better
than other centers. Moreover, in the whole investigation for 6 centers the lowest
score for the dimension of the tourist facilities was 2.085 out of 3, and the highest
score for restaurants and canteens was 2.43 out of 3.
Conclusion: Today, medical tourism in the world is a developing industry with
significant turnover. Iran, and especially East Azerbaijan, have the special
potential to use the most of this opportunity. Therefore, It is obligatory to improve
the quality and cover the weaknesses due to its importance and significance.
