Abstract
The aim of this study are investigating of fosfomycin resistance and also distribution rate of resistance genes among Enterobacteriaceae isolated from three Tabriz Hospitals. Materials and Methods: To assess susceptibility patterns among 250 Enterobacteriaceae to fosfomycin and a number of other antibiotics including imipenem, cotrimoxazole, amikacin, gentamicin, ciprofloxacin, ceftazidime and cefotaxime, the disk diffusion agar used during 2018. The MIC of fosfomycin determinanted through the agar dilution. To achieve the distribution rate of fosfomycin resistance genes (fosA, fosA3, fosB, fosB2, fosC, fosC2, fosX) PCR was performed in resistant isolates. Results : The resistance rate to fosfomycin was in a value of 15 (6%) and 24 (9.6%) by disk diffusion and MIC methods, respectively. The rate of resume to cotrimoxazole(80/4%),cefotaxime(65/2%),ciprofloxacin(64/4%),imipenem(41/6%),gentamicin(61/2%), ceftazidime(49/2%), and amikacin(30/4%) respectively. The rate of fosfomycin resistance genes was fosA 1.6%, fosC 1.6%, fosX 1.6% and fosA3 0.8%. The fosB, fosB2 andfosC2 were not detected in the current investigation.
