The relationship between psychological factors with pre-diabete in rural city of Ahar population
Abstract
Aim: The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between psychological factors and pre-diabetes status in rural population of Ahar.
Materials and Methods: Out of 13 rural health centers in Ahar, 5 centers were randomly selected and 488 subjects were selected on the subjects. The results of fasting blood glucose test showed that 238 patients did not have pre-diabetes (fasting blood levels below 100mg/dL) are healthy and 250 have pre-diabetes (fasting blood glucose levels range from 100 to 125 mg/dL). In order to test these assumptions, a standard questionnaire of DASS-42Lovibond and Lovibond (1995) balloons was provided and subcategories of depression, anxiety and stress were measured. For data analysis, descriptive and inferential statistical methods of logistic regression test were used in SPSS software.
Results: The findings showed that there is a significant relationship between variables such as age, gender, educational level, marital status, chronic disease and pre-diabetes.
Conclusion: There is no significant relationship between psychological factors including depression, anxiety, stress and pre-diabetes.
