Abstract
Introduction: There are always unexpected events in different parts of the world, including Iran, and it is possible to occur in different societies with different intensities. Iran is the world's 10th most belligerent country. The city of Tabriz also has had many unexpected events. The health sector is an active part in the management of the crisis, an integral part of the National Health Program, and the hospitals as the most important treatment center for injured and injured people need to be well-prepared. The present study was conducted to determine the readiness of hospitals affiliated to Tabriz University of Medical Sciences for dealing with the crisis in 1398.
Materials and Methods: This cross-sectional descriptive study was performed on ten hospitals affiliated to Tabriz University of Medical Sciences in 1398. The data were collected using a pre-prepared checklist whose reliability and validity were estimated to be acceptable and then analyzed using descriptive statistics.
Results: The degree of preparation of the research units in terms of the field of equipment with a score of 74.5% is good, human resources 84% at very good level, structure and organization 84% at very good level, physical space 69% as good as protocols 68% At a good level, the performance diagram of 77.5% was well evaluated. The lowest score is for protocols and most points refer to manpower and structure and organization. Overall, the average score earned by all hospitals was 76% which indicates good readiness.
Conclusion: Assessing the status of hospitals and assessing their strengths and weaknesses in disaster management is a necessity to help managers and policymakers identify their situation and plan for the ideal situation and take the necessary measures. Do.
