Evaluation of the relationship between depression and improving the quality of life with drug regimens and the degree of control of blood pressure
Abstract
Introduction: Hypertension is the most important risk factors for cardiovascular disease. There are many causes of hypertension, and finding out which causes of hypertension can be more effective is necessary in identifying the disease more accurately.
Target: According to past researches, depression is related with hypertension. Therefore," Evaluation of the relationship between depression and improving the quality of life with drug regimens and the degree of control of blood pressure "Was selected as the research subject.
Materials and Methods: This descriptive cross-sectional reseach was performed on patients with hypertension diagnosed and treated in Tabriz Shahid Madani Hospital over a period of 6 months. The required data were collected using Two questionnaires named as MINICHAL and HAMD.
Results: In this study, 145 patients were interviewed. Patients with pharmacological suppressant, beta-blocker, statin, thiazide, aldosterone antagonist, ARBs, CCBs, and ASA were randomly selected to determine the relationship between depression and hypertension and quality of life assessment, and the results were analyzed by Spearman analysis.
Conclusion: The results showed that there is no significant relationship between the three parameters of total quality of life score, emotional aspect of quality of life, physical aspect of quality of life with blood pressure control and Hamilton criterion.
