Background: The occurrence of the chronic diseases was one of the most challenging situations of the people at life time being considered as one of the most fundamental heath problems globally. For the reason, the main purpose of the present study was to determine and investigate the relationship between the life quality and spiritual health of patients with Hemodyalisis.
Methods and materials: this study was a descriptive type of study that 250 patients with the chronic renal failure were referred to the educational-treatment center of Tabriz medical sciences faculty in 2013 as accidentally. The related data was gathered by the use of France and Powous and Politzin and Ellison spiritual health questionnaires during five months that they were completed by interview method. The descriptive statistics and Pearson correlation coefficient test using SPSS/13 were applied in order to analyze the related data.
Results: the results of the study indicated that the mean total score of the life quality 108.1±24.6 from the acceptable range score of 68-408 and the mean total score of the spiritual health 64.6 ±9.7 from the acceptable range of 20-120 have been obtained in this case. The variable of the life quality and its subscales with spiritual health had significant positive relationship in this field (p<0.001). Conclusion: the results showed that the life quality of the patients participated in the related study were low; the considerable increase of the number of patients with chronic renal failure requires that these patients not only should be increased in the life span but also they have to be optimized in terms of the life quality. Due to the positive relationship between the life quality and spiritual health, it is suggested some plans for recovering the spiritual health and the life quality of these patients to be prepared potentially in this regard.
