Survey of Job Satisfaction and the Factors Affecting it, with Employed Nurses in the Educational and Curative Centers

Abstract
Abstract: Introduction: Job satisfaction is one of the important factors in occupational succes, and it is an element that provides efficiency, profit and also individuals satisfied feeling. Studies indicate those who are satisdied with their job, provide more efficiency and remain at work. Job saticfaction includes realities related to salary, work, supervision, facilities, condition and functioning of organization. Investigation of job satisfaction od Nurses has critical importance, because job dissatisfacion of nurses will be result to how quality of patients care. Metliods & Materials: The present study is a descriptive survey that was conducted to determine jobe satisfaction and he factors affecting it in nurses who work in the endicational and curative centers of Uromieh University of Medical Sciences. A five-point Likert scale was used to identify nurses job satisfaction and its affecting factors. Samples of study were chosen non randomly. We used a questionnaire among 250 Nurse who 166 cases were filled and returned. Results: The findings identified that 65.7% of nurses were dissatisfied with their job.The factors related to this situation were respectively: 94% economic, 87.3% job security, 78.9% Managerial, 72.9% social and 65.7% working cindition factors. Only 56% of nurses were satisfied with the working relationships. Discussion:The finfdings of this survey indicate that most of subjects were dissatisfied with job, and slso economic, security, Managerial, Social, Working condition and Working relationships factors respectively affecting job satisfaction. The results of this study suggest that it is necessary the nursing leaders and managers to pay more attention to nurses, job satisfaction, and reinforce the factors that influence on the promotion of their job satisfaction.
