Relationship with Quality Of Life, Anxiety and Depression in Heart Disease Patients after Coronary Arteries Angioplasty in Karaj city hospitals, 2016
Abstract
Abstract: Background and objectives: The onset of cardiovascular disease and infection in the coronary artery is considered an important and new event in most people. The occurrence of any unpleasant event such as coronary artery disorder and subsequent angioplasty results in disruption of the mental and social structure of individuals. This has affected the quality of life and on the other hand , change the meaning of life and seek to understand the new meaning of life after heart disease. This study aimed at determining the meaning life - associated with heart disease and relationship with quality of life, depression and anxiety after angioplasty in heart patients.
Methods: In this descriptive study - correlation , the meaning of life associated with heart disease and its relevance to quality of life , depression and anxiety after angioplasty on 144 of cardiac patients were examined in the hospital of karaj. Data were collected by questionnaire specifications , meaning associated with heart disease ,SF-12 and hospital anxiety and depression . The data was then analyzed with SAS norm , using Pearson and Spearman tests.Significance level was less than 0.05.
Results: The results of data analysis between the scales and subscales of meaning of life associated with heart disease with quality of life and anxiety and depression showed a statistically significant relationship. Among the variables of population-cognitive characteristics, the history of drug treatment with any of the scales and subscales of meaning of life associated with heart disease with quality of life, and anxiety and depression did not show a statistically significant relationship.
Conclusion: According to findings, the results of this study suggest that most patients suffer from life impairment when a heart disease occurs , which is for some start - ups for meaning and can decrease the quality of life and depression.
