Evaluation of association between the activity and presence of School health trainers and referral for health care system and dental caries of student of elementary school in tabriz 2018
Abstract
IntroductionObserving hygiene in the school environment can increase the health of students and teachers as well as the community as a whole, and ensure the promotion of learning and knowledge enhancement. In the meantime, teachers and health care providers can play an important role in raising the level of knowledge and knowledge, as well as modeling for different aspects of health. Health care providers can accomplish this important task through various methods. School health care providers with the necessary training to understand the problem can play a significant role in improving the oral and dental health of students. The most important factors are loss of teeth, tooth decay and gum disease. One of the indicators of oral health evaluation is the evaluation of dental caries and can indicate the status of oral health in the community. The most common indicator of DMFT is dental caries. The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between educational history, demography and health activities of health educators and the degree of dental caries of elementary students in Tabriz.
Materials and Methods: This cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted on 800 students from district 1 of Tabriz's education that were randomly selected from the 12 selected schools for sampling. Data collection tool was a questionnaire and a checklist Prepared from before, and examinations under normal light are performed by a catheter and disposable mirror by a dentistry student. Data were analyzed using descriptive and analytic statistical methods in SPSS software version 17 and Chi-square, T-test and ANOVA. Health education instructors were referred to schools through pre-prepared form Information, degree of education, school attendance, gender, age, number of children, attend classes, etc.
Results: There is a significant relationship between the rate of students' caries and the level of education of health teachers, the number of attendance at health education classes, health education, health education in health teacher schools and the rate of referral of students to the faculty of dentistry. (p <0.05)
No significant correlation was found between the degree of decay of students and age, sex, number of children. (p> 0.05)
Conclusion: All students need to be trained in oral hygiene and the supervision of health teachers should be increased on oral hygiene.
