Subjective and objective evaluation of the esthetics of the full-ceramic crowns of the maxillary anterior teeth

Abstract
Introduction Full-ceramic restorations make up the bulk of dental care. And it is necessary to consider subjective and objective aspects during the examination for proper and esthetics treatment. The aim of this study was to assess the esthetics of the full-ceramic crowns of the anterior teeth based on Subjective and Objective criteria. Materials and methods In this descriptive cross-sectional study, 32 patients with single anterior Maxillary maxillary ceramic crowns were studied. The samples were randomly selected from patients referring to the postegraduate department of prosthodentics of the Faculty of Dentistry of Tabriz University of Medical Sciences who received ceramic crowns. All crowns Well made in the same laboratory. The data were collected included a check list of three parts. Part one Demographic characteristics. The second part of the objective evaluation factors completed by a dentist specializing in dental prosthesis was completed. The third part: Subjective evaluation factors completed by the patient. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics method using statistical. Results In examining subjective criteria, satisfaction with ceramic crown color (100%), ceramic crown length (96.9%) and natural look of ceramic crown (90.6%) were the highest. Satisfaction with other subjective criteria was more than 75%. In the study of objective criteria, the highest likelihood was related to the occlusal plan (87.5%), then Midline (78.1%) and color (78.1%) were the most. The least of them were rows of teeth (65.6%) and dental dimensions (65.6%). Conclusion There is a difference between patient satisfaction and dentist. Patients' satisfaction (subjective standards) is more than dentists (objective criteria).
