A systematic review of the role of miR_375 in Detection and determination of prognosis of head, neck, and oral carcinoma
Abstract
Objectives:
There is an increasing growth in the number of the systematic review and meta-analysis on the prognostic value different miRs in various cancers in the recent years. In this study we systematically reviewed the articles that investigated the role of miR_375 in Detection and determination of prognosis of head, neck, and oral carcinoma.
Material and Methods:
A comprehensive review of the available literature relevant to role of miR_375 in Detection and determination of prognosis of head, neck, and oral carcinoma, was undertaken pubmed, google scholar, coherance, scopus. Keywords for the search were:
(((miR_375) OR microRNA_375)) AND (head and neck, oral cancer)
(((miR_375) OR microRNA_375)) AND (head and neck cancer)
(((miR_375) OR microRNA_375)) AND (oral cancer)
(((oral squamous cell carcinoma) OR oscc)) AND (((miR_375) OR microRNA_375))
(((miR_375) OR microRNA_375) OR hsa-miR_375) OR MiRNA_375
According to the criteria for entry and exit for the study, at the several screening stages, 13 articles were selected for final examination.
Results:
After a complete review of the final papers extracted based on the search protocol, it is inferred that comparable topics in most studies and many of the numbers are not explicitly mentioned, therefore the available data for meta-analysis were inappropriate. However, the items extracted from our selective papers clearly showed that the expression of miR_375 in Tumoral tissue samples was low compared to normal tissues.
