چکیده
Background It is now generally accepted that vitamin D3 deficiency is most common worldwide nutrient deficiency. Today according to importance of Vitamin D3’s roles in the body functions and probability of level of vitamin D3’s relationship with chronic disease amongst type 2 of (Diabetes mellitus) DM, vitamin D3 is much considered. Therefore we decided to study the prevalence of vitamin D3’s deficiency in diabetic patients under CABG operation and determine evaluation of it’s relationship with glycemic control after operation. Objectives Our objectives was investigation the prevalence of vitamin D3 deficiency and evaluation of it’s relationship with glycemic control (acute hyperglycemia) in diabetic patients under CABG operation in the ICU of Shahid Madani hospital in 2017. Materials and Methods A cross sectional study has been carried out on 115 diabetic patients undergoing CABG in ICU of Tabriz Shahid Madani hospital in 8 months. The demography data, history of basis disease, drug history, levels of vitamin D3 and glucose levels of patients was obtained in the questionnaire. Findings In the current work 348 patients has been underwent CABG operation which 115 of those were diagnosed diabetic patients. The results of prevalence of vitamin D3 deficiency show a 73,2% deficiency in the diabetic patients. There was a significant difference in average of blood glucose levels and vitamin D3 (p=0.0004). Conclusions Patient’s sufficient level of vitamin D3 before operation causes better glycemic control in diabetic patients undergoing the CABG operation after that and for achievement to this results prescribing vitamin D3 before operation should put in the executive order of the hospital.
