چکیده
Introduction:A significant proportion of research is conducted by students in universities of the country. Therefore, the qualitative assessment of the atmosphere governing research in higher education is important.
Aim:Determine the students'satisfaction of the conducted in the Pharmacy Faculty of Tabriz medical university.
Method and Materials:Research method was based on survey and data collection tool was a PERQ questionnaire which was modified based on the roles in processing the thesis in the mentioned faculty. Thus the validity and reliability of the questionnaire was reassessed and finally a new questionnaire composed of 60 questions were filled with 61 Pharm-D candidates or graduates. The inclusion criteria for the Pharm-D student candidates were based on at least being in Phase II or III of the thesis process according to the faculty’s educational rules or being a recently graduated pharmacist.Statistical analysis of T-test and ANOVA were performed by using Spss & Excel softwares to ensure that the findings were significant.
Results:The results showed generally, students were satisfied with the process of approval of the preliminary thesis plan about 84% and the supervising processes was calculated as about 83%.In contrast to infrastructure and facilities of the faculty, about 50% of the candidates were unsatisfied. Most disappointments were caused from the lack of a database or a software, providing the list of the chemicals in the laboratories and the absence of special chemical banks for storing the prepared products from a research process defined as a thesis to be used in the future for the remaining experiments of the research career.there wasn’t a significant relationship(p<0.05) between general students’unsatisfaction based on the degree of the supervisor and the gender.
Conclusion:It is necessary to undertake the infrastructure of the faculty as a main factor in satisfying students, conducting the thesis workshops for the supervisors and students in on non-statistical and statistical interpretations of the thesis results.
