چکیده
Chemotherapy involves the use of synthetic or natural drugs for the treatment of neoplastic diseases. Almost all chemotherapy drugs have potential for infusion reaction. Infusion reactions can affect any organ in the body. Infusion reactions usually appear during infusion or up to several hours later. Premedication can prevent or reduce the severity of infusion reactions. Aim: The aim of this study was Drug utilization evaluation of prophylactic regimens of infusion related reactions and hypersensitivity in patients received chemotherapy regimen in Shahid Ghazi hospital of Tabriz in 1396. Materials and Methods: This study is based on prescribed prophylactic drugs for controlling infusion-related reactions and chemo-susceptibility of chemotherapy drugs, and their appropriateness with standard guidelines . Chemotherapy protocols were collected from the inpatient ward and outpatient clinic and in terms of matching prescription drugs to control the complications associated with infusion with prophylaxis protocols in accordance with valid sources. And if there is any inconsistency in the new protocol for prophylactic drugs. Results: Among the 30 regimens in the hospital and their compliance with the standard protocols, only three drugs, paclitaxel, docetaxel, and rituximab have prophylaxis, which are not consistent with standard regimens. And for other drugs that require prophylaxis to prevent infusion-related reactions, no prophylaxis is prescribed, so they vary in 100% of the regimens. Conclusion: Due to the lack of a precise prophylaxis regimen for chemotherapy regimens and the lack of proper premedication and the likelihood of occurrence of these reactions, it is recommended to provide the appropriate protocol for each regimen to reduce the side effects of drugs and their implementation.
