Abstract
intruduction: Denture as a foreign body provides a good environment for the growth of microorganisms and can cause eating a natural flora of the mouth. Denture induced stomatitis is the common form of oral candidiasis that is seen as inflammation in the areas covered by maxillary denture. Appearance of the candidates species resistant to antifungal drugs and increase in patients with immunodeficiency is one of the important factors in epidemiology of the Candidiasis disease especially oral candidiasis. Aim: determination of susceptibility and resistibility of isolate microorganisms in denture stomatis. methods: The 96 microbial culture samples were drawn with strile swap from the patients with denture stomatitis referring to the dentistry clinic in time interval of October 2016 to October 2017. The samples drawn by the sterile swap were transferred to the sterile TSB culture and laboratory of microbial control of Pharmacology Faculty. Then the microbes grown in the TSB, the sensitivity test of the antibiotics consumed in the solid culture was done by agar diffusion disk. The results were compared by standard guidelines such as CLSI and the statistical analysis was carried out by an appropriate software. Findings: There was a significant difference in the halo of lack of growth of the candidate glaberta in presence of different antibiotics. There was no significant difference in the diameter of the halo of lack of growth of Candida albenix in presence of different antibiotics. Also, the results showed that in each antibiotic, there was no significant difference between the candida albenix and glaberta growth, since the statistical value was higher than the test significance level (0.05). Conclusion: glaberta shows different resistance before different antibiotics so that Miconazole is most effective in prevention of the candida glaberta relative to other antibiotics. Albenix shows a similar resistance against each antibiotic; however, the impact of ketoconazole is a little bit higher than others. Each antibiotics has a similar impact on the candida albenix and glaberta.
