The study of infertile women's attitude about infertility and sexual behaviors
Abstract
Western studies have reported contradictory results in association with psychologic aspects of infertility and sexual attitude due to it, while eastern studies especially in Iran are limited and those we have strongly suggest numerous interferences such as religious, culture and et. Therefor this study has been done to detect infertile women's attitude about infertility and sexual behaviors.
Materials and methods:
In this descriptive cross-sectional study, 124 infertile females who referred to Alzahra hospital infertility center in Tabriz and were all referred females. They completed the demographic inventory and sexual attitude questionnaire.
Results:
According to the findings of this study, the sex of the patients before and after the knowledge of infertility was not significantly different (P> 0.05). Attitude toward the child and parental role with 95% are the most important aspects of attitude towards infertility. Also, attitude toward infertility with age was inverse (P <0.05). However, there was no significant relationship with marriage duration and educational level (P> 0.05). The results did not show significant difference in attitude toward infertility according to the fact that the individual, wife or both of them were infertile (P>0.05).
