Effects of type of domestic violence on women’s health living in Tabriz county 2016

Materials and Methods: Materials and Methods: This is a cross-sectional study on women living in Tabriz. In this population-based study by cluster sampling, a sample of 1000 residents of urban and rural areas of Tabriz were selected. After obtaining informed consent, the data were collected through GHQ questionnaire and HITS violence questionnaire by face-to-face interviews and face-to-face interviews. Using descriptive statistics, t-test (GHQ score comparison), analysis One-way variance and chi-square (GHQ result grouping using cut-off scores) at the significance level of 0.05 were analyzed.
Results: There was a significant relationship between the general score of violence and the presence of symptoms of anxiety, anxiety symptoms, social functioning and the presence of symptoms of depression (GHQ score greater than 6). Also, there is a significant relationship between drug intake and the presence of symptoms (GHQ score greater than 22). Concerning the prevalence of violence and its association with health disorders, 23.8% of physical violence patients, 23.7 humiliation, 23% of the threat, 23.8% and 23.8% of the compulsion showed the symptoms of the disorder in the overall health. In our study, 50.1% of the patients were female and 49.9% were male. Patients were between 15 and 90 years old and the mean age of the patients was 45/38±0/493 years.
