Study of Waste management in rural areas of Tabriz County in ٢٠١٧ in order to providing suitable management pattern with participation of stakeholders

Abstract
Introduction: : One of the most important components of sustainable rural development is waste management, which requires the creation of necessary infrastructure, including preparing the cultural and social context and providing the necessary financial and equipment resources. One of the most important environmental health threats to villages is the lack of proper collection and disposal of unhealthy waste products in rural areas. This research aims at studying the status of rural waste management in Tabriz city in order to provide an appropriate management model with the involvement of stakeholders in ١٣٩٦ Done. Methods: In this study, villages with a home with more than ٥٠٠ people (٤٣ villages) were visited in ٢٠ villages and the information was filled out using field checklist and then analyzed. Findings: The results show that in the studied villages, ٩٠% of the villages had a Mayor of village and ٥٠% of the villages had a conductor plan. All villages have a waste collection system and waste management system. In ٣٥% of villages, a waste disposal machine was used to collect which was one of the strengths of the current management of rural waste management and the weaknesses that , In ٢٥% of the villages per week, only one time was taken to collect waste. In ٥٠% of the villages, waste collection centers were found and in ٧٥% of the villages, the collection center of animal waste was observed. In ٢٠% of the villages studied,١٤٠ corrosive waste was used as fertilizer in farms and gardens. In ٨١,٣% of villages, animal waste was stored in accumulation. In the proposed model, such as suggestions, separation of waste for recycling at source, the creation of local small factories between neighboring villages for waste disposal, the creation of the necessary facilities for keeping livestock out of the village, centrally and industrially. Conclusion: The present study showed that rural waste management status in Tabriz has improved with Mayors of the villages, but it is necessary to address some issues such as waste separation at source, the organization of waste landfill sites, the collection of sanitary and principled use of animal wastes Corrective measures will be taken. In addition, due to the effective role of tenants as the main tenants of rural wastes, it is necessary to apply reinforcement strategies in their practical support.
