Relationship between coping communication skills and domestic violence among women reffering to health car center
Abstract
Background and Purpose :
Violence against women has a long history throughout human life. One of the serious
problems and disadvantages of all societies and the contemporary world. Coping skills are
the behaviors that a woman must learn to create effective coping and to reduce conflict and
difficult situations of life because she helps him in this way. In this research, the proper
relationship between coping skills and relationship with the occurrence of violence in homes
among women referring to Tabriz Health Center has been investigated.
analysis method :
This descriptive - analytic study was conducted on women referring to Tabriz Health Center
in 1394. The sample size is based on the sample size of the Cochran sample and according to
the multi-stage sampling method and is clustered and the effect of the design was taken in
the sample of 768. The instrument used in this study was changed in relation to domestic
violence and a questionnaire for communication skills. In this research, general linear
modeling is used to study the relationship between variables.
findings
Results show that there is a significant relationship between the skills and components of
violence (Wilks Lambda = 0.71, P< 0.001). Also, by examining the components of each
component of the scale of violence, we concluded that the sub-scales had a meaningful
relationship with skill. (P< 0.001). In addition, by increasing the skill level in opposition to
physical violence, as much as 1.8% of mental violence is as high as 1.1, social violence is
1.4% and verbal violence is 1.7%, financial violence 0.7%, and Sexually transmitted
infections show a decrease of 1 unit.
Conclusion :
Based on the results, we conclude that teaching good and high-level communication skills is
essential in order to minimize violence at home. Establishing family and support counseling
centers as well as communities and leaders are very effective in this regard. So it is very
necessary.
