Psychological Empowerment and it's Relationship with Assertiveness Among Neonatal Nurses in Tabriz hospitals -2016
Abstract
Abstract: Introduction: The phenomenon of mental stress in nurses is increasing and this is significantly related to the occurrence of physical and psychological illnesses and ultimately poor nursing performance and the quality of care, as well as the safety of patients' lives. These tensions and their consequences can impose high costs on the health system. The purpose of this study was to determine the psychological ability and its relationship with assertiveness skills in the nurses of the neonatal departments of Tabriz hospitals.
Materials and Methods: This is a descriptive-correlational study. The statistical population of this study was all nurses working in Neonatal and Neonatal Neonatal Departments of Children's Hospital, Alzahra, Taleghani, and 29 Bahman hospitals in Tabriz. They were randomly assigned 150 Nurses were selected. Data were gathered using Spreader Psychological Empowerment Questionnaire (1992) and Gombrier and Riche's Expression Questionnaire (1975). Pearson and Spearman correlation coefficients were used to analyze the data.
Results: The results showed that there is a positive and significant relationship between psychosocial expression and psychological empowerment, which means that the more psychological empowerment of nurses, the higher the level of assertiveness, and also, all the components of psychological empowerment with expression There is a positive and significant relationship with the highest correlation with the "significant sense" component with a correlation of 0.336.
Conclusion: Enabling empowerment by creating a sense of self-confidence and by creating an open space for employees will give them the opportunity to improve their abilities and skills and make them effective, as well as empowerment by fostering employees with motivation. And will be able to allow managers to respond appropriately to the dynamic competitive environment
