بررسی عملکرد طحال در بیماران اسکلرودرمی
چکیده
Scleroderma is a systemic autoimmune disease with a higher prevalence in the age of 30 to 50 years. It is 4 times more common in women while with a genetic predisposition besides environmental factors (e.g.: infections) activates immune system, like other rheumatologic disorders. The vascular involvement in this disease ends up in multiple small splenic infarcts which may deteriorate its function. 40 patients diagnosed with scleroderma and 40 normal control cases were evaluated in a description-analytical study. The results of the assessment of the peripheral blood smear in both groups were compared. These data were also analyzed considering the severity of skin involvement. Of all the cases, 10 (12.5%) patients were male and 70 (87.5%) were female. The average age of the patients was 43.911.1 in the range of 24 to 67 years. Howell Jolly bodies were seen in 5 cases of scleroderma and 3 of control cases due to hyposplenism, not significantly different (P=0.35). The difference wasnt either significant considering the Pappenheimer bodies in the two groups (P=0.24).,
هدف از این مطالعه، بررسی عملکرد طحال در بیماران اسکلرودرمی می باشد. در یک مطالعه توصیفی- تحلیلی مقطعی، 40 بیمار مبتلا به اسکلرودرمی و40 فرد نرمال بعنوان گروه شاهد که شرایط ورود به مطالعه را داشتند، مورد بررسی قرار گرفتند. یافته های حاصل از مطالعه لام خون محیطی دو گروه با یکدیگر مقایسه و ارتباط آن با بیماری موجود مورد ارزیابی قرار گرفت. همچنین ارتباط این یافته ها با شدت درگیری پوستی بیماران مبتلا به اسکلرودرمی نیز مورد ارزیابی قرار گرفت.در کل، 10 نفر (5/12درصد) از بیماران، مرد و 70 مورد (5/87 درصد) زن بودند. میانگین سنی بیماران نیز، 1/11 9/43 سال بود که در محدوده سنی 67-24 سال قرار داشتند. از جهت هیپواسپلنیسم Howell-jully در 5 مورد (5/12 درصد) از بیماران مبتلا به اسکلرودرمی و در 3 مورد (5/7 درصد) از افراد کنترل وجود داشت که تفاوت آن از لحاظ آماری معنی دارنبود(35/0= P). تفاوت دو گروه از جهت وجود اجسام Pappenheimer نیز بین دو گروه معنی داری نبو د(24/0= P).
