The cross infection between dentist, patient and technicians is an important way of spreading the microbs, so the sterilization and disinfection of casts has a specially importance. There is several ways to disinfect the cast which are categorized in to major groups: physical and chemical methods. Because of some problems of the chemical methods, today the first emphasis is physical methods which one of them is the microwave irradiation. Methods and materials: The bullets which were made of type III stone, were sank in microbial inoclum of bacillus subtillis and candida albicans. Then one group was sank in sodium hypocholorite and the other one was irradiated by microwave oven to examine antimicrobial effect of microwave, sodium hypochlorite and compare them of. Results: the power of 900w of microwave can completly kill the bacillus subtillis in 15 min and powers of 600w, 450w and 300w in it in 20min. The power of 900w can kill the candida albicans in 1 min, the power of 600 w can do it in 2 min, in 450 w and 300w the time increase to 3 min. Discussion: Regarding to the findings, in power of 900w the strilization effect appears at 15 min and in 600w, 450w and 300w appears at 20 min.
