The prevalence of temporomandibular joint disorders signs and symptoms in patients referring to Kaleybar's sanitary and treatment centers(2011)

Abstract
In various studies, the prevalence of tempromandibular disorders has been reported differently. This study was aimed to evaluate the prevalence of signs and symptoms of tempromandibular disroders among patinest reffering to Kaleybars helath and treatment centers at 1390. Methods and Materials: In this questinaire-based study, 318 patinets reffering Kaleybars health and treatment centers in first 6-month of 1390 were selected randomly. The designed questionnaires were filled out by participants and the collected data was undertaken statistical analysis. In this study, P<0.05 was considered statistically significant. Results:Near the of participants (47.1%) have reported one of the sings or symptoms of tempromandibular disorders. Click (33.9%) and pain (10.7%) was more prevalent among participants. There was not any significant relationship between TMD prevalence and gender and participants economical conditions (P>0.05). Conclusions:The prevalence of sings and symptoms of TMD in this study was obtained at moderate level. There was not any significant relationship between TMD prevalence and gender and economical conditions variables.
