The frequency of sensory disturbances of inferior alveolar nerve after mandibular fracture in patient that admitted by emam Reza hospital
Abstract
Mandibule fractures are very important because of placing inferior alveolar in it If these fractures happen with dislocation , It increases risk for an effect on the nerve. There isnEt enough information about sensory disturbance of inferior alveolar nerve after trauma. Previous studies were more about the fracture that not involves the mandibular canal. The aim of this study is detecting the frequency of sensory disturbance of inferior alveolar nerve in patients that admitted to emam reza hospital. Material and Method: This was retrospective descriptive study of 42 patient that admitted to emam Reza hospital with mandibular fracture in second half of 1388-89 years. At the beginning of study we took a testimonial and history form patient. Then we examined the patien by sharp/ blunt test after collecting the samples and complecting question from, we analysed the data with spss software. Discution: Our finding indicated that more patient were male and the average age of this patients were between 30.616.1 percent. And the intensity of sensory disturbance of Inferior alveolar nerve is 71.4 precent. That the most sensory disturbance of this nerve refers to body of mandibule. Results: This study indicate that having enough information about the frequency of sensory disturbance after trauma can help us to find some ways to explore and preven from occurring causes of it and guidance to treat sensory disturbance of inferior alveolar nerve.
