Abstract
Oral cancer is one of the most significant cancers in the world, and squamous cell carcinoma makes up the highest percentage (about 94 percent) ofmany oral malignancies. The aim of this study was the comparison of the efficacy of oral forms of generic doxorubicin and its nanomedicine delivery system(doxorubicin-loaded insolution and polymeric Nanoparticles) incancer therapy by(4NQO) 4-Nitroquinoline 1-Oxideinrattongue. Materials and Methods: SeventymaleSDrats were dividedinto 5 groups,N, K, F, E, D (14 in eachgroup). For induction of the tongue carcinoma in groups K, E, D, the researchers used (4NQO) 4-Nitroquinoline 1-Oxide powder for three months. Group N was the control group. Group E received generic doxorubicin, the anticancer drug, and group D received its nanomedicine combination(the solution of doxorubicin loaded polymeric nano particles) in oral (gavage) for minrats that were contaminated by squamous cell carcinoma of the tongue using NQO 4 in two different doses of 1/5 mg and 6 mg in days 2, 5 and 8 respectively.Control Group F without cancer received nano medicine just as Group D did. During the study ,all rats were weighed by digital scaleoncea week. The number of mortalities was recorded in the data collection forms and studied very day. At the end of the treatment, the tongues of the rats weres ampled to evaluate the severity of dysplasia and histological changes in the extent of cell proliferation. The data were analyzed using ANOVA, descriptive statistics (frequency and percentage) andchi-square test(2 ). Results: No statistically significant difference was foundin the mean weigh to ffive groups in ANOVA test with repeated measures. (p>0.05) Chi-square test results showed no significant relationship between the two variables under study groups and mortality rate. (P = 0. 39). In addition, there was significant relation ship between the two variables under study groups, and degree of dysplasia. (P <0.001) The statistical analysis showed a significant relationship between the two variables under study groups and the rate of cell proliferation(p <0.001). The significance level was considered 0.05 for all statistical analysis. Conclusions: The results of this study in dicated that the use of the nano medicine doxorubicin combination in oral form (doxorubicin solution loaded with polymeric nanoparticles plus methotrexate) had more the rapeutic effects than generic doxorubicin plus methotrexate
