Teachers and students' attitude about the factors affecting the evaluation of teachers by students
Abstract
Introduction: The most common system of evaluation of professors in our country is the inves tigatior by student but professons are not satisfied with this system.the aim of this study was dentification of differences and simi lavities of professors and students attifudes on the factors influencing in educational evaluation would allow to correct the investiyafia forms and attain the acfual results of prefossers performance this study was aimed to compane the attitucles of professors wite students Materials and Methods: In this description study , 70 dental professors and 148 dental student of dental facults of Tabriz were selected by simple sampling method. Information collection was carried out by a questionnaire. For the comparison of two groups attitude, mean and standard. deviation were calculated and t-test (in normal distribution) and U- Man Whitney (in non- parametric) were used. Correlation of the four contributing factors in both groups were analysed by pearson. Results: In relation to the personality fetrnits of professors and theoretical education, the evaluation made by students and professors wen not signifiently different (p>0.05). However there was differencesin the fields of educational activity of teacher and practical training , the student's evaluation grades were significantly higher them those of professors(p<0.05). Conclusion: Both the professors and students think that educational activity of profesors was important,than other factors in evaluations.
