Influence of botulinum toxin A injection to prevention drooling in patients with mental retired

Abstract
Drooling is a common and sever problem in children with mental retived. the aim of this study was the influence of botulinum toxin A injection to prevention drooling in patients with mental retired. Material and Methods: In this cross over clinical trial, 22 mental retired children in 2 group recived botulinum toxin A (2 u/kg). saliva value were measured on 1,2,4,8 weeks after injection. data were analysed with descriptive statistical test and SPSS. 15 soft ware. Results: in case group, saliva value decresed on 2 to of weeks after injection. No complication wase observation. Conclusion : Injection of botulinum toxin A is a usefull Method for drooling .
