Evaluation of Tabriz general dental practitioners (GDPs) awareness about Reline and Rebase of removable complete and partial dental prosthesis
Abstract
Based on available data, request for dental prosthesis is ever-increasing in our country parallel with that in other countries. Therefore, dentists are required to increase their awareness about this treatment modality. The aim of the present study was to evaluate Tabriz general dental practitioners (GDPs) awareness about reline and rebase of partial and complete removable prosthesis. Materials and Methods: In this descriptive, cross-sectional study 100 dentists were evaluated among GDPs. The questionnaire was made by the researcher and its reliability and validity was proven. Data was analyzed using descriptive and analytical statistical methods and SPSS.21 software. Results: The mean knowledge grade of GDPs was 8 (26% of GDPs have the poor knowledge level, 50% moderate, and 24% were good). The analysis did not revealed a significant difference between the knowledge of GDPs with different clinical experience and gender but revealed a significant difference between the knowledge of GDPs with participating in prosthesis courses. (P<0.05). Conclusion: Totally, the knowledge level of Tabriz GDPs was at moderate levels. .
