Evaluation of Knowledge of Dentists in Tabriz about Partial Prosthosis treatment Planning

Abstract

One of the most important procedures in constraction removable prosthodontics is dentistEs knowledgement about treatment plan of prothesis. The aim of the present study was to evaluate Tabriz general denal practitioners (GDPs) awareness about dental implants. Materials and methods: In this descriptive, cross-sectional study 81 dentists were evaluated among GDPs.The questionnaire was made by the researcher and its reliability and validity was proven. Data was analyzed using descriptive and analytical statistical methods and SPSS.21 software. Results: The mean knowledge grade of GDPs was 14.6. 14.8% of GDPs have the poor knowledge level, 72.8% moderate, and 12.3% were good. (P<0.05). Conclusion: Totally, the knowledge level of Tabriz GDPs were at moderate levels. The analysis revealed a significant difference between the knowledge of GDPs with gender and participating in prothesis courses.In this study there was not any raletionship between Knowledge grade of GDPs and their clinical precedency
