Evaluation of knowledge attitude and practice of clinical post graduate students of Tabriz university of medical acience about patient education
Abstract
Appropriate and effective patient education is the simplest and also most important way in medical health system witch is so crucial in all of the stages of disease control ( inclouding prevention, treatment and rehabilitation). This procedure if practiced in the right way, can couse vivid positive changes in patient health care manners and knowledge . Unfortunately, this main issue wouldn't be done despite many benefites for various reasons. This is one of the main responsibilities of the education system of medical science centers to train the students and post graduated students effectively. Methods and materials: In this study evaluated knowledge, attitude and practice of clinical post graduated students of Tabriz medical science university (by random selection) with a suitable and cathedral questionnaire. And data achived was processed and evaluated with descriptive statistics methods. Results: There is no relationship between tow variables of sex and education period in residency era. Although there is a positive relationship between age variables and health care knowledge. None of the variables above has a significant corelationship with attitude values And also none of the variables above has a significant corelationship with practice values. Discussion: In this study, men knowledge evaluation showed higher average mean value comparing to women. And knowledge values are significantly higher in those with older age. And also the values are highest among the students of the last year and the least among the fresh men. According to this study, men attitude evaluation showed almost equal average mean value comparing to women. And the values are highest among the students of the last year. And finally practice evaluation results shows almost equal average mean values between men and women. The considerable point is that the average of students of third year is the highest and the least values belong to the last year students.
